We love the happy hour at Heroes George's. It has only improved with the new management. They expanded the selections, stiffened the drinks, and made the restaurant feel more welcoming. We also liked the new Sunday brunch. What a huge spread! And the endless mimosas are a nice touch.
George Greek is one of my favorite restaurants to go to in Lakewood. They have the best lamb chops I've ever eaten. And if you really want to treat yourself get a salmon salad. Best happy hour, everyone there is so friendly. I was introduced to the new owner he is very friendly very funny I enjoy talking to him every time I go. The best watermelon martinis. My cousin and I are making plans to go there this Saturday..
My hubby and I go to lunch spot. Since he's been to Greece, this is the closest he will get to the Greek food. lol We tried probably almost everything on the lunch menu and our favorite is the lamb kabob sandwich. You can't forget dessert...cheesecake is our fave. The owner is sweet! I knew I recognized his hospitality. He also owns the sunrise cafe on Carson and Lakewood I believe.
Family style restaurant. The lamb chops 10/10 perfection. Tender, flavorful and juicy!! I had it with their Greek salad which was tasty and veggies which were basic vegetables. I had 4 but could've gone with 6 lamb chops. They are pretty small but delicious. The owner was super attentive, friendly and patient with me. I'm avoiding carbs so the dish was perfect for my health journey. Even though I don't live in the area I will be back!!
The food is excellent The service lacked skill and speed The cleanliness needs to be addressed. Smell entering the restaurant is off putting the only working toilet in women's restroom was soiled and there was food on plates that had been picked up from a guest table only to be sat down at a staff station We asked for water refill and only those who asked received a refill.
I was Looking for a spot to eat healthy today. Found this place. Entered this business established, was greeted and seated immediately. Menu's were given to us. Ordered a Greek Lamb Salad, flat steak dinner and wine. Took a bite of both food entrees. All was fresh and delicious, including the wine! Saturday evening was quite pleasant. A guitarist was playing the night away which made the ambiance great. The thing that stood out was the service. Our Waiter and the staff kept checking up on us and stating if we are good and if we needed anything else. This was ongoing on our dining experience here. This shows that their very adamant about the service given that reflect on their business. A tip worth giving. Not like those other locations where they barely put in any effort on customer service but expect you to tip 23% or more. I recommend this place in the Lakewood California area. You will get great tasting food and service. This is my go to for Greek food in this area.!
We love George's Greek Cafe it's one of our favorites. The food is amazing and never disappoints. Friendly service and the prices are reasonable. If you're in the area give them a try you won't regret it.
